Refund Policy
Last updated: 24 June 2026
This Refund Policy applies to paid subscriptions to Simple Ledger (simple-ledger.app). It forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. Free plan first
We offer a generous Free plan so you can evaluate Simple Ledger before paying. We encourage you to use it to confirm the Service meets your needs before subscribing to a paid plan.
2. Cancellations
- You may cancel a paid subscription at any time from the Billing section in your ledger settings, which opens the Stripe customer portal.
- When you cancel, your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. You will not be charged again after that, and your account reverts to the Free plan.
- We do not provide automatic prorated refunds for the unused portion of a billing period after a cancellation.
3. Refunds
- 14-day goodwill window. If you are unsatisfied with a paid plan, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase or a renewal charge. We will honour reasonable, good-faith requests.
- Duplicate or accidental charges. We will refund clear billing errors, duplicate charges, or charges resulting from a technical fault on our side.
- Outside the window. Charges older than 14 days are generally non-refundable, though we review exceptional circumstances on a case-by-case basis.
4. How to request a refund
Email [email protected] from your account email address, including the date of the charge and a brief reason. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe and may take several business days to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer.
5. Statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.
6. Changes
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes are reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
